New Pasila is being built – a temporary station is at your service
The old Pasila Station has closed its doors, and Pasila's temporary station, which was opened in April, is currently at your service. Central Pasila's new public transportation hub will open as a part of the Mall of Tripla in 2019.
During the construction there are changes to the public transportation routes and stops around the station – the new routes and stops are in use as of June 19, 2017. More information is available on the Helsinki Region Transport website. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the construction work.
The new public transportation hub, opening in Tripla during fall 2019, will provide easy interchange between trains, buses and trams. In 2020, approximately 80,000 train passengers and 40,000 bus and tram passengers will travel through Pasila every day. Tripla is conveniently connected to places both near and far, since all regional and long-distance trains stop in Pasila. Helsinki Airport is also directly accessible by train from Pasila in 22 minutes.
In the future, the new additional western track will make many trips smoother. In case the City Rail Loop is built, it will connect Pasila to the old city centre through Töölö and Hakaniemi. The Helsinki Metro network will most likely be extended in the future, and therefore already now a tunnel is being built in Pasila for the metro.
We are always open!
The temporary railway station in Pasila is open around the clock. The facilities include a warm waiting area, an R-kioski convenience store, a Subway restaurant, Helsinki Region Transport and long-distance train ticket vending machines as well as two ATMs.
